In March and April, online business owners can look forward to two short courses on E-Marketing, both being held in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

The first is a one week programme in Online Marketing Strategy presented by the University of Stellebosch Business School in collaboration with Britefire, an e-marketing and e-business training company. The programme is aimed at those working in marketing careers who want to improve or update their e-marketing knowledge and skills, or at anyone who interacts with those who do. The programme covers digital business strategy, designing websites for business success, search engine marketing, e-mail marketing and new buzz marketing tactics. Certification on successful completion of the programme is awarded at NQF Level 6.

The Programme in Online Marketing Strategy runs from 16 – 20 March in Bellville and from 23 – 27 March in Johannesburg.

The second course is a Short Course in E-Marketing, presented by Rob Stokes, the CEO of Quirk eMarketing and Sarah Blake, e-marketing lecturer at the University of Cape Town, in collaboration with Get Smarter, a training provider. The course is a 3-day intensive workshop aimed at marketing professionals, small business owners and entrepreneurs. The course covers e-marketing strategy, e-mail marketing, online advertising, affiliate marketing, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, PPC advertising, social media, viral marketing, online reputation management, web PR, website development and design, online copywriting, customer relation management, market research, mobile marketing and web analytics.

The Short Course in E-Marketing runs from 7 – 9 April in Cape Town and 15 – 17 April in Johannesburg.

PS. As I still haven’t heard back from one of the winners of The E-Commerce Guide, I decided to announce the other winner, who has already received his prize. Congratulations to Ernst Linde, who entered the competition as he has been thinking of selling artwork on the web from his own website. Hopefully the guide will help him to get started up and running his e-commerce business in no time!
